YES. Jesus, thank you.
I cannot tell you how many times I have had to point out what the audience at conventions actually LOOKS like to people in the industry. They can do signings in a booth full of every kind of person all day long, every color, every size, every orientation and more, and STILL go online and talk about how only white straight males read comics.
IT IS PROFOUNDLY UNTRUE AND INSULTINGLY IGNORANT.
I’m done with the comic book industry. They obviously don’t want my money since they refuse to actually embrace REALITY.
This is an awesome strip! I love comic books and their characters. Obviously.
Some diversity though? We really need it. Actually we need a lot more diversity. A lot. I’d love to see a new canon of comics and superheroes who reflect the readers and our society more accurately!!!

Agreed that people have to stop complaining about discrepancies between comic verse and movie verse. Even in comic verses there are alternate universes so why should people worry when there are little differences in the movies?
BUT BY THE WAY. I hear people complain about Nick fury suddenly being black, but I’d like to point out that, yes, Nick Fury is white; EXCEPT for the Ultimates Avengers verse in the Marvel comics where Nick Fury is black and is in fact based on Samuel L Jackson.

OH. HEY. LOOK. IT’S WHAT GAVE ME HOPE THAT WE COULD SEE THE AWESOME, BADASS, SNARKY, MAJESTIC MOTHER FUCKER THAT IS DEADPOOL ON THE BIG SCREEN.
AND THEN THIS.
Everyone who thought that this was a good idea when writing this script should be ashamed of themselves. I hope your names get called in the Hunger Games and NO ONE VOLUNTEERS AS TRIBUTE.
Also it was so out of character. If that happened to actual Deadpool he would literally take a big fucking knife and stick it where the mouth-hole goes.
