Who else would go through this willing, for you?

Almost any parent would do this for their children.  In a heart beat.

Almost any human being, if told that, for the sake of saving humanity, and for the prize of sitting for the rest of eternity at the right hand of the creator of the universe in another week or so, would gladly do so as well.  In fact, many, many normal humans would sacrifice themselves just for the certainty that in doing so, they would be saving the rest of humanity…forget the prize.  And what’s more, they almost certainly wouldn’t demand that you love them forever for doing it.
Soldiers constantly, willingly put their lives on the line for their friends, their family, and their country.  Many of them die deaths just as bad if not worse than what Jesus supposedly suffered.   How many soldiers have been shot defending their country, with their insides leaking out, left to suffer for days in the hot sun before finally bleeding to death or dying of thirst?
According to the Bible, Jesus was only on the cross about six hours before he died.
Jesus, if he really did die to save humanity, did a noble thing.  It was far, FAR from the most noble thing ever done by any other human, however.
